Afro-Belly Dance blends the vibrant heartbeat of African dance with the sensual art of (Egyptian) belly dance. This class centers on hip articulation and full-body expression, inviting you to embrace your sensuality, confidence, and inner fire. Expect lively energy, bold movement, and a space where your body leads the way.
Led by Tegu Lashau, a passionate movement artist and choreographer with a background in majorette, Afrocentric dance, and belly dance. Being both self-taught and professionally trained, Tegu also dances with Oklahoma City’s Legendz Dance Crew and creates choreography that spans from belly dance, contemporary, and hip-hop. Her purpose? To help women reconnect with their essence through movement that’s both graceful and powerful.
